Ian is co-founder of DeepFathom, a digital auditing and conformity assessment platform designed to enhance governance, improve risk visibility, and increase the commercial value of assurance.
His work focuses on how organisational behaviours and control environments influence business outcomes, resilience, and enterprise value. By combining behavioural science with traditional audit techniques, he delivers deeper, evidence-based insight that improves audit accuracy, consistency, and decision-making.
Ian specialises in identifying systemic and emerging risks within complex organisations particularly those often overlooked by conventional approaches. By integrating first-, second-, and third-line assurance, his approach provides a more complete view of risk and performance, helping organisations better protect value and respond to change.
This approach has been validated within a UKAS-accredited certification body, demonstrating how behavioural and systemic insight strengthens assurance confidence and improves audit effectiveness.
Ian leads the Future of Auditing work package for CQI/IRCA and represents them within the AIQI consortium, contributing to the ongoing development of conformity assessment.
